| The Season 1 DVDs are chock full of commentaries and featurettes. These are transcripts on what they had to say about Vanessa and or Aiden. 'Blink' - [1.01] Commentary by Anthony Zuiker, creator. "This is Vanessa Ferlito, playing Aiden Burn, she's our Angelina Jolie of the show. Beautiful. From New York." ~ On Vanessa first appearance . "I mean, Vanessa Ferlito in these glasses, she is unbelievably sexy and interesting. Nothing's cooler than Vanessa Ferlito in goggles. That's the coolest thing ever." ~ On the scene where Aiden and Danny are processing the bedroom with ALS. 'Outside Man' - [1.06] Commentary by Timothy J. Lea, writer "She gives him a great look there, that little smile, which we manufactured in editing, not that Aiden didnt bring it, but... there it was, we needed to stretch it out a little bit. If you go back and look at that, you can see that the smile is slowed down because its just a tiny look and we wanted to make it last a little bit." ~ On Aiden's smile after being told Mac was leaving them alone on the case. "It's interesting this scene, because we were laying out the duct-tape, and Vanessa's rubber gloves got stuck to the duct-tape, and at one point she couldnt actually get the duct-tape off her glove, then she used the other hand to try to get it off that glove, and it was completely all stuck together...it was, er, a moment of great hilarity for all involved. Although I expect not for the actor itself. But she did it with a smile, so it was okay" ~ On the Lab scene . "Great look there from Vanessa of just sorta 'What's up with this guy?' " ~ When talking to Luis Figeuroa. "'Going through other people's garbage' refers to a scene in the first episode that Anthony [Zuiker] wrote called 'Blink' where they searched through an entire garbage barge, and its, er, quite a project. And clearly Aiden's not happy with that" ~ after Aiden's line "You think we got enough experience going through other people's garbage?" "She looks so beautiful here: Vanessa" ~ on Luis's interrogation scene. |
