What Is The Nolans?

The Nolans is like one of those early-day radio dramas from the '40s or '50s but with modern-day, more realistic storylines similar to what you'd find in a TV drama series. 

It was originally written and recorded to be used on 3RPP in Aaron Live At Five, but when The Vault show started, it was picked up by them and repeats of episodes are now played. 

It was based on Jeffery and Tanya Nolan- a happily married couple living down on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula. Over the years, the people who lived with and around Jeffery and Tanya changed quite a lot. 

In the beginning, Jeffery and Tanya's kids Gavin and Ebony lived in the house with them, later on we met some next door neighbours, and towards the end it was Jeffery's brother Darren and the former next-door neighbour Nasha who shared the house with the couple. 

It was a very close household, despite their weekly conflicts and dramas, but that's half the fun!

Every week, a 2 minute episode went to air, and at the end, listeners were left in suspense, wondering what was going to happen in next week's episode. 

These days, while The Nolans might have finished it's run, no more new episodes being produced, and no longer appearing on the Aaron Live At Five show, the repeats of episodes still continue to run on The Vault, Saturday afternoons between 2 and 5pm on 3RPP, which will keep The Nolans alive for many more years!
