Massage

Massage is a great way to relax your muscles and your body. As you stress, your skin and muscles get tense involuntarily and massage helps them relax so that blood flows more easily and smoothly. Here you can learn how to do massage right:

  • quick mini massage: rub your shoulders and neck with your fingers, then the inside of your hands and the soles of your feet, pressing firmly. finally, rub your temples in slow, gentle circular motions to ease mental tension.

  • * hour Massage:

    Get a partner.
Set the stage with a sheet or large towel on a firm surface (sturdy table or a carpeted floor) in a dim room.
Light a fragrant candle and play a tape of quiet classical or new age music.
Shower, wrap up or clip up hair.
Make a neck roll by wetting a towel, wringing it out and rolling up stones or marbles inside and twisting the ends. Microwave it on high for a minute.
Then lie on your stomach and place the warm roll over your neck to relieve tension.
Have your partmer vigorously rub a dollop of silky, nongreasy body lotion between his or her palms to emulsify it.
Working with long strokes from the feet up, toward the heart, have your partner firmly massage the lotion into your skin.
Rub the shoulders and upper back with a circular motion, moving toward the heart, Then massage the arms and hands.

  • Oil Massage:

    Use oil (vegetable is fine).
Use stroking motions, down and to the sides, kneading for shoulders hips and thighs
Use direct pressure on either side of spine from lower back to shoulders with little oil
Use percussion with the sides of hands up and down light and springy (but not on kidneys, bones, and bruises)
