Vision
Use Chamomile for sties
To help treat near-sightedness, read at a comfortable distance, without glasses or contacts. As you read, move the book a few millimeters away from this distance. The text will be slightly fuzzy, so blink repeatedly to bring it back in focus. When this distance is most comfortable for reading, again move backwards (the next day).
For far-sightedness, read at a comfortable distance without glasses or lenses. As you read, move the book a few millimeters closer. The text will be slightly fuzzy, so blink repeatedly to bring it back in focus. When this distance is most comfortable for reading, again move the book closer (the next day).
To improve all vision, perform palming. Sit in a chair with feet flat on the ground (no glasses or contacts), then close eyes and place palms gently on eyes with fingers just overlapping. Make sure you are in a dimly lit, quiet room. Just relax as you imagine what you see getting darker and darker (don't fall asleep!), and think of pleasant things. Do for 1/2 an hour a day. You will see results soon.
To improve night vision, take vitamin A and beta carotene - in carrots!
Do eye exercises - look left and right, up and down, rotate eyeballs all around both directions. Then focus on your finger (held in front of you) and a distant object alternately 10 times.
Get regular eye checkups. Go for cataract screening after the age of 40.
Got a black eye? Press a wet teabag on it!
Wet teabags and cucumber slices also prevent and reduce redness and puffiness in eyes. Rosewater also has a cooling effect to treat redness and irritation.
