It's best not to suppress vomiting - let it run its course (If a child is less than a year old or has frequent vomiting, see a doctor). Don't force food on the child, but offer clear liquids like broth, jello in water, Gatorade, when queasiness has stopped, to prevent dehydrating. Keep track of urination to see if a child needs more fluids. Once appetite returns, offer bland foods (rice, bananas, unbuttered toast, applesauce).
