Hiccups

  • There are several suggested rememdies and one may work well for you.
  • Don't think about them. Concentrate strongly on something else...like try to spell elephantiasma backwards while hopping on one leg!
  • Massage your earlobes.
  • Have someone frighten and startle you.
  • Hold your breath.
  • Breathe into a brown paper pag, holding the bag tightly over your nose and mouth. This will build up carbon dioxide.
  • Drink water continuously for a minute.
  • Use your pressure point: press between your index finger and thumb firmly and steadily.
  • Swallow a teaspoon of sugar at once.
