Jenny woke up one morning a week before christmas not feeling good. Jenny felt her forehead and it felt warm.
Jenny felt really weak when she got up. And worse she wasn't hungry. Dang it every single Symptom of the disease again. If it is the disease it would be a relief if it isn't it will just be another hassel of the day.
Jenny walked into the kitchen. "What do you want for breakfest Jenny?"
"Water. And a thermometer" Jenny sat on the kitchen table.
Mom turned around. "Oh boy." She came over to Jenny and put her hand over Jennys face. "You do feel warm. What do you think it is?"
Jenny started coughing a little. "Probably the flu. And the disease to."
"You really think its the disease."
"Well its been over a year."
"I'll make a apointment." Mom went to the visophone. Jenny got her own water.
"Thank goodness its about time for a apointment anyways." Jenny said between sips.
Mom got off the visophone. "We have a apointment in 15 minutes."
"That'll be the amount of time it takes to get there why that soon."
"Cause thats the soonest i could get. And I want to get you there now."
"Alright mommy."
They both went into the car. "I'm sorry Jenny"
"About what Mom"
"That your going to have to go through all of this again cause of me."
"Its ok. I went through a great year and some months thanks to you to. And we don't know its really the disease it can still be the flu by itself."
"Just keep thinking those wonderful thoughts." Mom said with a smile.
When they got to the doctors waiting room Mom signed in while Jenny got to play with the blocks and the other pennys.
When the nurse came and took Jenny in Mom decided to stay outside. It was still the male nurse we like cause he does things correctly.
First he looked at her medical records then took out the rectal thermometer. "Ah can you just take my blood first and send it to the lab. Then take my tempt. I want the results as soon as possible without killing me."
"Ok." THats what he did. If Jenny was anything but a IM she probably would have gotten spanked for that. But mostly its respected cause Jenny is probably dying right now.
When he got back he turned Jenny turn over on her tummy and took her tempt. After about 15 minutes of pacing her doctor finally showed. "Well"
"You got the flu thats all."
"Yippee." Jenny literally jumped off the examining table.
"But young lady you need rest and liquids if you want to make the trip on christmas well."
"Yes Sir."
"I mean it."
"I know"
