Tarot Cards

How it all began:
About 6 -7 years ago I used to live up in Franconia, New Hampshire. I went into a little shop in downtown Littleton, and bought a deck of cards called "Soul Cards". These cards have no meanings, but the pictures seem to bring out the deepest feelings of you "soul". Thus, the name of the decks. I played with them for a while, and found out that they had a second deck at the store, so I went back the next day to buy the second deck. While I was in the store, I felt a certain calling to a different type of deck. I grabbed it (as well as the second deck of soul cards) bought them and left the store for home. When I got home, I opened the mystery deck, and saw that they were tarot cards. I was so amazed at how beautiful they looked! I looked at the cover and saw that they were called "Art Nouveau". The major arcana were all well drawn while the minor arcana were like stained glass windows. There isn't much to say about this deck except I love them. I bypassed the soul cards, and got right into the tarot cards. I did many readings for myself and others over the next few years. I was always amazed at how well I could read the cards, and how accurate I was with the person I was reading for. Finally, when I moved back to Haverhill, MA I started to take professional tarot classes to better my skills/abilities. After taking the classes, I realized that my Art Nouveau deck was getting a bit worn out, so I decided to buy a new deck. I ended up buying the "Universal Waite" deck and used them for a while. While at my favorite new age store, I saw another deck that was calling out to me, which was "The Gilded Tarot". Tsuyoshi bought me this deck for Christmas and I continue to use it. There are other decks that I want to buy, but they have not called for me yet. Therefore, I will wait and continue to use the decks I have. I mean after all they still all give me the same great results

What is Tarot?
Tarot is an ancient system of interpreting a pattern of cards randomly drawn from the deck's 78 traditional images to gain insight and achieve greater control over issues involving relationships, opportunities, and life changes.
A tarot deck consists of 78 illustrated cards that you lay out in a 'spread.' Each card is an archetype -- symbolic of an energy or spiritual truth, its relevance determined by its position in the spread. While focusing on a single topic, the questioner selects the cards. The cards selected reflect aspects of the individual's situation in order to stimulate the intuition toward greater insight and creativity.

Tarot Misconceptions
Some people think that Tarot cards can tell them specific days, times, locations, or when they will marry and to whom, and even when they will die. Tarot cards can not do any such thing.
Tarot cards have nothing to do with curses. If you get a reading done and the "teller" tells you that the cards say you have a curse, the best thing to do is leave. People that say things like that just want your money.
Some beliefs think that tarot cards are evil. On the contrary, there is nothing Satanic about the Tarot. The cards merely touch on psychic abilities and intuitions, you are NOT communing with demons.

About my readings:
I do house calls for all of my readings. In order to get the fullest out of my readings, the person has to be completely comfortable. Therefore, I come to your sanctuary/place of peace, so you can take full advantage of what I have to offer in my readings. One thing I must stress is the fact that I do not give cold readings, or sugar coat the meanings of the cards. I completely disagree with both of these things. Whenever I start a reading, I usually get a connection right away with the person and cards. However, there can be times that I do not get the connection right away. If this ever happens, I will stop the reading "clear" my deck, or have you re-shuffle the cards and start again (without worrying about time). I truly want the best for my clients and their readings. Now what I mean about sugar coating the cards is, sometimes you get a bad card and people don't read it that way because they don't want to scare you. I must stress to everyone that I read both good and bad cards. However, you should not worry because most of the time they aren't as bad as you may think. Also the cards show us the energy that surrounds us and can ALWAYS be changed at any moment. Which leads me to my Oracle cards. At the end of each reading I like to use my "Oracle Cards" for those not so good cards. The Oracle Cards give us a positive outlook and direction to the cards that present difficultly or obstacles. So never, be afraid, or think that you will walk away from my readings feeling worried, scared, hopeless, or lost. Tarot is all about insight, changes in direction and energy. You should never feel bad after a reading.
