Dolphin Zinfandel 1997
Another good year for our old standby, Red Zinfandel.  This years batch retained the same characteristics we found in previous years...a nice everyday wine that is medium dry and versitile enough to serve with almost any meal.

Darby Premium Cellars Merlot 1997
We are quite pleased  with this Merlot..  It tasted so good when we were bottled it that it was hard to leave it alone to age further in the bottle.  The flavor is dry rich and full with a spicy aroma and just a hint of chocolate.  It is just now ready for use and took a 4th place at the 1999 Amateur Winemakers Festival...not as well as the our 1996 Merlot, but it is still an excellent wine.

Darby Valley Black Cherry Wine  1997
We ordered some black cherries from Washington State for this wine.  It made a really nice fruit wine.  It is dry ( we probably should have sweetened it a bit) and the cherry taste is not overbearing so it goes well with food as an accent.
