I've even participated in some of the races that go on here in Washington. They include: St. Patrick's Day Dash, Beat the Bridge, Bloomsday, Dawg Dash, Edgewater Run, and the Jinge Bell Dash. All these races were a lot of fun. I especially like getting all the free snacks at the end =).
The last race I did was Bloomsday, May 2000, located in Spokane, WA. The race is around 7.5 miles. Long...yes, and I didn't train for it, so I ended up stopping twice. The race was a lot of fun and the weather was perfect, Sunny and not too hot. Click Here to see my results
![]() These pics were taken at the beginning of the race. The pic on the left (or on top) shows a guy throwing his shirt to the side. It was funny how so many people were throwing their warmup clothes to the side, that the trees and anything clothes could hang on to were covered. As for the pic on the right (or on the bottom), you could see the start line in the distance. It took around 3-4 minutes just to get to the start line. It was a nice walk before we even got to start running.
Here I am with Sherry, we've got our new Bloomsday Finisher shirts on. |
