HIKING...yeah, since the summer of '97, hiking is something that I have gotten to really enjoy. One of my favorite hikes, is that of Mt. Pilchuck. It was my first major hike. I am so glad my friend Mindy took me and my sister up. I had no idea really what to expect. Surprisingly, the hike consisted of climbing huge rocks and following little bear prints to get to the top. Hiking up was at times really tiring, but in all, it was worth the effort. The view was amazing. Plus, it was a lot of fun. But that was in '97. Now, the trail is much easier in that you don't have to follow bear prints (which can get pretty confusing), now the trail is pretty much set for you and much easier to follow. Kinda sucks cuz I liked the other way better. It was more adventurous...but oh well. Safety's important.
