Practice Groups

Senior Elite
Practice:  Monday - Friday 5-7 pm

This group is for the advanced and dedicated senior level swimmers.  Swimmers in this group must attend 6 of the 7 practices each week.  To be in the senior elite group swimmers must tryout and be selected by the coach.

Senior
Practice: Monday - Friday 5-7 pm

This group is designed for the older and/or more advanced swimmers whose goals are strength, cardiovascular fitness, good sportsmanship, and competitive excellence.  Swimmers should attend at least 4 practices per week.

Gold
Practice: Monday - Friday 5-7 pm

This group is for swimmers who are physically and mentally ready to handle a longer practice and more yardage.  This group will focus on increasing the competitive swimming experience as well an emphasis on good sportsmanship, goal setting, and stroke technique.  Swimmers should attend at least 3 practices per week.

Green
Practice: Monday - Friday 5-7 pm

The green group is both for our younger swimmers and for our new swimmers.   Swimmers in this group will focus on the four competitive strokes; butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle.  There will be an emphasis on stroke technique and an introduction into competitive swimming.  If you are interested in joining Redwood Swim Club you must be able to swim the full length of the pool (25 yards) on your front and your back.  Swimmers should attend at least 2 practices per week.
