Nickname: Blade. People call him this more than they call him by his rightful name, but mean no respect by it.

Facial Features: Usually has a few days worth of stubble on his face, lots of wrinkles on his forehead from frowning
Complexion: medium, usually well tanned
Identifying marks/scars: Scar over his right eye from hairline to eyebrow (the eyebrow is missing hair where the scar crosses it) and another on his left cheek from nose to below the ear, and two across his ribs, earned in a knife fight.
Clothing: earthtoned shortsleeved shirts and black pants.
Accessories: four knives. One in each boot, and two on his belt. Only one is used for eating.

Personality:
99% of the time, R'tuer is tough, hard, antisocial, rude, mean, quick to anger, even faster to fight. Aggressive, very much an "alpha wolf". He demands respect and woe betide those who don't respect him! But if he is all these things to other people, he is also these things with himself. He drives himself and Drezth hard, to be the best they can be for the upcoming Pass, and, despite his quick temper and quicker knives, is acknowledged as one of the best. For now, he is very much out of his element, born too soon ... but once the Pass starts, he will shine. There are few people who bother with him ... but those few that do, find a man who was cast as a particular sort of person from a very young age and, out of sheer self defense, became that person. They also know he will stop at nothing to help those he considers friends. You just have to be willing to put up with his prickly personality!
History:
Some people are just *born* with an attitude problem. And Rotuer was one of them. From the moment he was born, he screamed and howled in fits of temper. As he grew, he started using his fists. In a desperate bid to channel their problem child's energies, Torelkin started teaching his son to fight, to use bladed weapons. It was a partial success. Rotuer now had an outlet for his aggressive tendencies and energy ... but he also knew, with devastating accuracy, just where to aim to hurt the most. Gradually he managed to get some amount of control on his temper ... mostly by avoiding people entirely.
No one was more surprised to be Searched than Rotuer. He was sixteen at the time and there was considerable betting as to his chances among the Bitrans ... and Rotuer collected quite a healthy sum when he not only Impressed, but Impressed a bronze ... and the first time he stood, to boot. Impressing affected R'tuer as nothing else ever could. Weyrling training was ... worse than difficult for the pair, and they graduated a full six months
late for being insubordinate, among other offenses. Including finishing (not starting though) a knife fight with a rather beligerent Holder's son at a Gather. Exactly who first irritated who will forever be in debate, but there is no question that the holder boy drew a knife first, and drew first blood. R'tuer defended himself. That it ended in the holder lad's death put a huge black mark
on R'tuer's record.
After that, R'tuer retreated even further, becoming even more antisocial. And the Weyrleader and Wingleaders rode him hard, expecting more out of him, giving him less leeway, than the rest. Over time, it shaped the way he looked at the world. As he got older, became a more senior rider, that attitude transfered to those around him. He became known for his temper and willingness
to pull knives if things got hot.
When Red Star Weyr opened, R'tuer more or less got pushed into transfering. His Weyrleader was glad to get rid of such an aggravating thorn in his side. And R'tuer was glad to see the back of his home Weyr.

Color: Bronze
Age: 24
Size: medium, with slightly shorter than average wings.
Personality: Nearly as aggressive, tough, antisocial and domineering as his rider. Theirs is not the sticky-sweet bonding you frequently see, but it is no less deep for that. Drezth does not feel the need to be in R'tuer's mental pocket at all times, and rarely intrudes unless something comes up. Look out ifR'tuer is ever in danger, though. There's gonna be a whole lot of ticked off,
fire-breathing, talon-bared bronze dragon headed to rescue his rider.
Physical description: A bit blocky, almost looks badly put together. He is not your typical beautiful dragon, almost verging on ugly.
