Cardio-Vascular Area
In the cardio-vascular area of the gym we offer transporters, treadmills, bikes and steppers. The equipment offers great training for the heart and lungs by working the major muscle groups of the legs and buttocks, with virtually no impact to joints.

Gym Classes
The Instyle Aerobike Classes offer an excellent exercise class that is included in the price of club membership. The music pumps while the instructor takes you up imaginary hills and pushes you through imaginary sprints to create a mystery tour to leave you exhausted, exhilarated and fantastic.
Gym circuit training classes offer a real cross training exercise programme, working all the major muscles in a fun-filled environment. Both classes offer beginners, intermediate and advanced levels to suit all. See the Cycle Timetable for a list of cycle classes being offered.

Free-Weights Section and Resistance Area
The resistance and weights area in the gym is fully supervised by friendly, fully-qualified, helpful instructors who will be more than happy to help you with your training needs.
Strength training is an important part of all exercise programmes. Not only will it improve your muscular strength but also muscle tone and condition. We tend to lean towards the "Train without strain" theory as opposed to the "No pain, no gain" theory. More efficient muscles means a higher metabolic rate strength training can actually help you burn off calories without lifting a finger! For mature members, strength training can help prevent osteoporosis so it really is a useful training tool for all age groups.

The Steam room and Spa Bath offer the ideal place to unwind and de-stress after a good workout.

Exercise Studio
The Studio offers a fantastic range of classes from mind and body classes such as Yoga, Pilates to Step, Circuits and Aerobics. All classes are included in the Redrice Fitness Plus membership deala nd with over 25 classes a week, there is plenty to choose from for everybody.
