Worldcraft Tutorial
I will assume you already have the tools installed and worldcraft.. There is a tutorial for that already so I wont spend alot of time rehashing that to death. *unless someone needs me to rehash it*
First an overview of all the buttons used.
The Pointer- This is what you will use to select an object(brush) I say object throughout this Tut...
Now anytime you want to select an object you will need to click this. Some of the other buttons actually require you to click this to exit their mode.
Get used to clicking this alot, It will become second nature.
The Camera- If anyone knows what this is for let me know.. I have yet to find a useful purpose for this.
*I guess this is for moving the camera? I use Z myself... so this is useless for me.. : )
Zoom- This allows you to change grid size up and down. Clicking on this will only change zoom level for the view your clicking on, not all views.
Entity Tool- This is used to create lights and other stuff. Mainly lights..
To view light example click
here.
Brush Maker- This is what you use to make a brush (object) click on this and make your box. More on different shapes later.
Texture Applicator- More on this later.
Unknown- All I know about this is that it gets selected when you click on the applicator... weird
Decal applicator- Dont have much working knowledge of this.
Clip tool- This is for Chopping off sections of an objects... Look here....
Vertex Manipulator- Unless your very good at this I would advise not to use this. It will lead to lots of errors in your structure.
Path Tool- Unknown.. No experience with this yet.
