The Bass Player 

Robert Carl Takac was born September 30, 1964.  He lived in the suburbs of Buffalo, New York, along with his parents and sister Trisha.  After high school, Robby went to college at Buffalo State hoping to be a radio disc jockey.

  In 1986, Robby met John Rzeznik and decided to form a band with the help of an old school friend, George Tutuska.  Together they formed the Goo Goo Dolls.  A name that was thought up between three drunken friends.
