The Drummer
Michael Gene Malinin born October 10, 1967 in Washington DC. He grew up Florida and began playing the drums in middle school.
Before replacing George Tutuska in the Goo Goo Dolls, Mike played in several different bands. He also spent some time at North Texas State as a Philosophy major.
When hearing that the Goo Goo Dolls were looking for a new drummer, Mike went to California for an audition which was set up through Pat Magnarella, the Goo Goo Dolls' manager. After jamming with the Dolls for more than two years, Mike was finally made an official Goo Goo Doll in the spring of 1998.
