Sales Policy Please read this page first. Once you are finished there will be a link to our for sales page at the bottom. :) - I will only sell Rats in same sex pairs unless you already have another Rat at home (Either the same gender, or spayed/neutered) as Rats are social animals. - All Rats are to be sold to a PET home only. I will not sell any Rat to anyone who intends to use the animal as a feeder. - I will not sell to breeders who cull Rats or who sell Rats to Petshops or as feeders. - All potential buyers must understand the care, time, and money that goes into owning pet Rats. As well as the fact that Rats are social animals and need a companion of the same species. - If you are intending to breed the animal that you purchase from me I would like to know upfront. * If you are intending to breed, I find it wise to wait until the female is at least 5-6 months old, but before a year for a first litter, and NOT over 18 months old for a last.) - Rats must not be exposed to toxic products such as pine, cedar, cigerette smoke, pestisides, or anything else that could be harmful to the sensitive respitory system of a Rat. - Rats must have an appropriate size cage. - Rats must have fresh water and a healthy diet supplied to them at all times. - Rats will recieve medical care if needed.

The adopter agrees that the Rat will never be sold at a Pet Store. Nor will it be allowed to "fend for itself" or be used as a feeder for another animal. If adopter cannot or does not want to continue to own/take care of the Rat(s), the adopter can contact me and I will happily take the animal back into my care!
I would appreciate it very much if the new owner of the Rat(s) would contact me if any health or temperament problems that could be genetic pop up in the Rat that could possibly affect my lines. Such issues include but are not limited to biting, tumors, strokes, seizures, diabetes, barbering (pulling out its fur), etc.
Prices $12 for one. $20 for a same sex pair. The fees are in places for many reasons. One of which is to keep people who use Rats as feeders from lying and possibly obtaining my Rat babies. Secondly, I spend quite a bit of money (and time) on my Rats each month. Food, toys, cages, vet fees, etc. do cost quite a bit and while I am well aware that I will not ever make a profit off of raising Rats the "extra" money does help with these costs a tiny bit. In my opinion, the initial fee for the Rat(s) is quite cheap when compared to the actual cost of keeping and owning Rats as pets.
