| About Us As I said on the homepage my name is Rebecca and I breed Rats here in VA. I have been owned by Rats since about 2002 - 2003. Although before last year I only ever shared my home with 2 or 3 at a time. Now, I have over 15! But I wouldn't change it for the world. :) Even though I have had Rats for about 5 or 6 years I only just considered breeding about a year and and a 1/2 ago. Which made for a ton of research! I wanted to be 100% sure of everything that I was considering doing - as should anyone whos thinking about breeding anything! Our main goal is to breed healthy and friendly Pet Rats! Color is always a consideration too, but it is second priority when it comes to temperament and health. :) I only ever have 1 or 2 litters at a time to ensure that the babies are properly handled and socialized. With that being said I would also like to throw out there that I will never sell a Rat to a person who intends to use it as a feeder! As a fellow Reptile lover I am aware that there are SEVERAL humane options out there other than feeding live Rats or Mice! I am also co-owner of Tomcat Mousery. |
