Congratulations!! I am so glad you decided to continue!! On this page I'm going to do my very best to help you make money WITH a simple website. Alright then. first thing's first. I'll try to be as specific and helpful as possible. **Please be sure to read terms and conditions on any programs you decide to join!!** I am not responsible for any results you may encounter. In this phase you are going to set up a simple website or two. If you plan on making money from websites then I suggest you create more than one. The first thing you want to do is come up with a specific topic you want your websites to about. You will want a different topic for each website. This way you won't have to rely on people searching for just one topic. The reason for this will become more clear later on when you start setting up your accounts. The topics can be about anything you choose. It can even simply be areas of interest to you like shoes, purses, clothing, hunting, fishing, medical, legal, real estate, or even your own personal product reviews. The list is endless. I chose the topic of "How to make money from home for free". You can Yahoo! search your topic to find inspiration and gain knowledge from other websites or you can search for free e-books on your topics. You can even look through books and magazines around your house. Do not copy other people's work!! You can use their knowledge to your advantage as long as you do it in a legal manner. Be sure to take lots of notes so once again you will want to keep paper and a pen handy. I like to use notepad on my computer since anything I write on paper seems to disappear on a regular basis. Once you have decided on some topics then go on to the first step. Good luck to you all! The first thing you will want to do is create some free website accounts depending on the number of topics you came up with. I like to create accounts with different hosting services just to see which ones I like. Some of these services will even help drive traffic to your website which is a really good thing if you plan on making money with it. You don't have to create the website at the time of sign up either. You can simply create your accounts and then go back to each one as you please to begin the website building process. You may want to try to begin a basic layout fairly quickly because the advertising accounts you will sign up for later will ask for a web address or URL for your website. They will want to know what the website is about as well so make sure you keep your accounts in order and know which is which. They will actually check each website to make sure it qualifies so be sure to have your content in place. When signing up for these you may want to pick a username the goes along with your website topic. Mine is "realfreemoney4all" for the Yahoo! and Google websites and soon to be on Tripod as well. It helps if your website address gives a hint to what your webpage is about. Your username will become part of your web address, or URL, so make sure to sign up with this in mind. There are many great free website services available so it's hard to narrow it down to just a few. I've tried to list the ones with the easiest tools and best services. All of these will come with the option to upgrade to a paid account, but there is really no need unless you have traffic that exceeds your bandwidth allotment in which case it is worth the upgrade. Be sure to check out each of these services as they have a lot to offer new users. This next one is absolutely wonderful!. Now we are on to the obvious choices. There is Google, Yahoo!, Tripod and more. We will just use these three to get you started. First with Google. If you signed up for a Gmail account then you are ready to start on your Google Pages website. You can use the same Google login for all your Google accounts. The same goes for Yahoo!. For Google Pages go here: www.googlepages.com. For your Yahoo! website go here: www.geocities.yahoo.com. For Tripod you can go here: www.tripod.lycos.com. This last one is free ONLY if you register a domain name through DotEasy. To register a domain name (your own .com name) it will cost you $25 a year. This one is great if you want your own .com name. All the other hosting services offer dot com registration as well.
To get started on your website just use the handy wizards that these sites provide. There will be trial and error but you will eventually begin to see it come together the way you want especially when you get familiar with the different tools and the way they work. If you are somewhat familiar with HTML code you will have the option of creating your website offline and uploading it at your leisure. There are many free software programs that allow you to do this and you should have no problem finding one in my free software links. Depending on your topic and the design of your website this could take some time to complete. Try to create a nice eye catching layout that's easy to see and read. Keep it fairly simple and small baring in mind that you don't need a one hundred page website to make money, although it will need to be more than just one page. You may even want to find other sites that have good ratings in the search engines to link to. Don't create a website that only has a fifty word paragraph and nothing else to offer. Be informative and as specific as possible. You will soon see the importance of why you need your website to contain lots of information without being huge. Don't forget that some of these websites also offer the ability to create your own blog site too! Now that you have your website(s) built, you need a way to make them earn money. One simple way to do this is selling advertising space. There are several ways in which this can be accomplished. One of the most popular is Yahoo! Ads. Yahoo! will place ads on your website relevant to the content of your site. In fact, by clicking on ads like these is where I found most of the information that inspired me to create this website. The content is automatically discovered through the ad program and the relevant ad campaigns are shown. In most cases you can use these in conjunction with each other further increasing your profit potential. You will see the ads on your website in the places you decide to put them. On this very page you are looking at, you will see my ads at the top, bottom, and left side of the screen. You cannot choose the ad content (it will be relevant to the content of your website) but you can choose the size and placement. Becoming familiar with HTML will greatly aid you in the process of placing ads on your website but not necessary. Most of the website wizards will help you in placing hyperlinks and HTML code into your webpage. Once again, it's trial and error but you will succeed. Now lets get you signed up for some ad campaigns! You will always have the option of using only one or all of these on your website. Creating the accounts doesn't force you to use them all so go ahead and click the banners below to sign up for each of these programs.
You can earn money when visitors to your site click on the links. DO NOT request visitors to click on these ads. Your accounts can be closed, deleted, the money returned to the companies that paid for the ads and you will not be eligible to open new accounts. **Read terms and conditions for each program!** Now is a good time to find products or services to sell on your site. Preferably products that pertain to your site's topic but you can choose any that you think may be relevant. There are different ways to do this. You can sign up and create online stores and link them to your site or you can advertise products and services directly on your site. Free online stores can be set up through online auction sites such as these:
These next companies pay you to advertise on your website. There are various campaigns, products, and promotions you can use to greatly increase your income.
And the last on my list is Commission Junction. This provider has one of the largest selections of services on the internet today. Make sure you click on either the affiliate or publisher links in order to sign up for these. I recommend signing up for all of these as well. This will enable you to have a much greater variety of products and services to promote. You can earn money from clicks on the ads and/or from the commission from sales and leads you generate for these companies. When signing up for most of the programs I have listed in this website, be sure to fill out any and all IRS forms that may be required. Normally it will be either a W8 form (international) or W9 form (national).
