Most people think
that anatomy is pure memorization. This is correct to some degree, as anatomical
structures have specialized names (often in Latin) which require remembering.
However, some of the names do make sense if dissected out. Knowing the meaning
of the names is ideal in order to understand the basis of the names. In terms of learning
the structures, visualization is probably the best method I find useful.
Tracking the femoral artery in your mind will definitely help you understand the
three dimensionality view. Visualization does not come easy, however. It
requires continuous and consistent learning and viewing material over a long
period of time.
