Continuing Education Seminar
Series for Public High School Students

This project aims to address the dire need of public high school teachers for professional growth and development. The LB National High School (L_BNHS) Teachers Association, with the concurrence of the principal, Mrs. Wenifreda Lapis, asked our club for this particular program. We are more than glad to organize and implement this program for them. DECS District Supervisor, Dr. Edelmira M. Libas, approved and strongly supported the project by approving three working days for it, staggered throughout the school year. Topics lined up were decided upon together with the LBNHS Teachers. The club invited the Resource Speakers who are well known in their field and are very good speakers as well.
We believe that if we arm our mentors with new knowledge and skills, they go back to their classrooms better equipped and greatly motivated to improve and innovate their teaching. Hence, the thousands of students that pass their classrooms are greatly benefited.
The seminar series is being co-sponsored with SEAMEO-SEARCA (SouthEast Asian Ministries of Education Organization -SouthEast Asian Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture), a regional organization based at UPLB campus.
