Who am I?
I was born in Florence, Italy in 1960. In 1988 I
graduated in tropical and sub-tropical agriculture at the University of Florence.
I worked as agronomist and soil specialist in Italy,
and in rural development projects in Bolivia,
Somalia, Mozambique, Malawi and Bosnia-Herzegovina. I
like travels, books and cats.
Professional
profile
17 years total working experience in agriculture and rural
development, more than 12 years experience in developing/transition Countries
in Africa, Europe and South America in the
following sectors:
Soil and water management: erosion control; soil and land use
survey; environmental and agronomic studies; soil and land use mapping;
participatory land use planning and development.
Rural development: project identification, preparation and
management; relations with donor agencies, Government authorities,
counterparts and local communities; administration and logistics;
coordination and management of expatriate and local personnel.
