Camp Overview
Since its establishment, Raynor Country Day
School's Camp has maintained the highest standards for itself,
thus enabling campers to maximize their experiences. Even
though camp is only two months in a child's life, it allows
the child to develop in those areas where school cannot. How
a child interacts with their peers as well as others is stressed
at Raynor through athletics and arts.
We understand the pressures our children
face in today's society. We have created an environment where
kids can be kids and do things kids should be able to do without
fear of failure. Our staff firmly believes in this philosophy.
Our directors have over sixty combined years of day camping
experience. General staff has been selected based on intensive
screening and training. All senior staff members are certified
teachers, licensed professionals or college students who share
our philosophy. Many of our staff are former campers who want
to give back what they received from us as campers.
Our program is quite extensive, ranging from
athletics to all aspects of the arts. Computer time is not
time to play the latest video game, but a time to stimulate
imagination, exploring and developing interests.
Our magnificent twelve-acre grounds offer
manicured fields, gymnasium, aquatics center and sports courts
designed for varied uses including tennis, basketball and
volleyball. Our air-conditioned school building houses our
fine and performing arts program along with computer and many
other program areas. Even when it rains, the show goes on
in our unmatched indoor facilities.
The off-campus experiences are both
fun and educational. Our trips are age appropriate and always
planned with safety as the primary concern.
