The primary goal of the music program
is the enrichment of each child: by encouraging each student
to express him or herself in new ways, finding enjoyment in
learning new skills, and providing an overall awareness of
the dynamics, fun, and excitement of music.
Every grade level has opportunities for creative
expression, rhythmic play, group singing, listening games,
movement to music, and making music!
Self-confidence can be built by continual
encouragement of each student as they enjoy this participation-filled
curriculum.
The very earliest concepts and activities
are built upon with the progression of grade levels. Some
of the favorite units of a previous grade can be resumed at
a more challenging level.
