The children use computers on a daily basis from Pre-kindergarten
school through sixth grade. Emphasis is placed on knowledge
and correct usage of the keyboard, mouse, and other related
accessories, as well as using the correct terminology and
care when using the computers. Classroom curriculum is reinforced
through programs focusing on English Language Arts, Mathematics,
Social Studies, Science, Bilingual Education and Art.
Our school has access to the Internet. We
can reach the "World Wide Web" through our library
and classroom computers. Using this resource, the teachers
supplement their thematic units while teaching the children
basic Internet skills.
The TechWorks curriculum is broken down into
specific skills, which is introduced at an appropriate grade
level. The Kindergarten program includes Techworks by teacher
created materials, Inc. Techwork uses hardware & software
that is available in the classroom to prepare students to
be technologically literate.
