Our Art Education
program is designed to help children achieve a better understanding
of themselves and the world around them while using a variety
of methodology and materials.
Children Pre - Kindergarten through Six Grade
will develop the following according to appropriate developmental
levels:
In addition, the children work hard at preparing
for the Chinese Auction. Each class works on a group art piece,
which is framed and sold, at our annual Chinese Auction.
Art Appreciation:
The children will be introduced to work of
professional artists, past and present.
Personal Expression:
The children will be able to communicate
ideas and feelings effectively.
Thinking and Reasoning Skills:
The children will develop skills to generate
ideas and creative imagery, problem solving, and critical
and analytical thinking group dynamics
Group sculptures, paintings, collages and
other collaborative works help encourage cooperation and positive
group dynamics.
Joy and Satisfaction:
The children will discover their own capabilities
and the joy of creativity while developing self esteem.
Technique:
The children will develop techniques and
skills in a variety of media and art forms. They will also
learn how to properly use and care for materials and tools.
