"Humans are divided into different clans and tribes, and belong to countries and towns. But I find myself a stranger to all communities and belong to no settlement. The Universe is my country and the Human Family is my tribe."

--Kahlil Gibran - A Tear And A Smile (A Poet's Voice)

My name is Raye,
aka: Raye del Sol (ray of the sun).

I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. (Dubbed 'Cincinasty' by me because of the extreme climate changes). Then moved to the South Bay area of Los Angeles (A perfect climate) in August of 1984. My dream is to live the remainder of this life in New Mexico's Gila Wilderness region. In the foothills of the Mongollian Mountains, (It has the four seasons, but mild ones.) it's very different from the image of miles and miles of desert and brush most people have of New Mexico....it's beautiful and pristine....like the breath of fresh air I have been longing for. If you enjoy camping, as I do, try to get to Willow Creek; it's almost 10,000 elevation, and at night you can hear Elk calling each other -- and experience many other beautiful mysteries. This is a picture of Lake Roberts,Gila National Forest, New Mexico, "Land of Enchantment". There are many Sacred Sites here....(Do not confuse with Mexico; New Mexico is a state in the U.S.A....really!)

Here is a view from the road going up the mountains. Click on it to see full picture. Angel

I'd like, during my quest, to bring a smile or two to the rest of you. I know that most of it sounds serious, but CAN'T you see the irony in it too?

I'm not bragging here, believe me. Because if I can do it, anyone can do it. Do what, you may ask? Anything you set your mind to, that’s what! I didn't even realize it until my daughter was diagnosed with it. In the seventh grade they tested her and found she had 'symbol recognition' and problems learning 'by rote' (repetition), which is how most schools teach.

However, her analytical and reasoning skills went over the chart (12th grade+).

Why these things happen, I don't know (except maybe Karma). But, I had the same problems, the only difference was, back then they didn't have the right tests. So, when I was in jr. high, they told me I had the ability to excel, and put me into college prep courses; and I flunked out!

It didn't help any that some of the people closest to me were SP's and my Father was an alcoholic...but these things didn't hold me back...(once I worked through them). I think it was the learning disability, mostly. But, I have only recently figured that out, by working on my awareness! It wasn't until I went to college (10 years later than most people- I guess my brain caught up a little) and took lab classes to catch up, (math and grammar) that I excelled.

The point is that you can do it too! If I can, anyone can.

I still can't spell that great, but thank God for Spell Check! Also, I have had to study diligently and constantly. Thank God, I’m part Taurus, and therefore very determined to do anything I set my mind to. I'm still not a great speller, nor do claim to be that great at the English language (I think I was Polynesian last life time, I.e., problem with The language).

I had a good friend growing up who helped me see the humor in it all.. we laughed and giggled about everything until our tummies hurt...it was a survival tactic.

"Don't believe everything you hear and only half of what you see."

Ref.: My Sister reminded me of this quote our parents always taught us.

But I go with this: HEBREWS 11 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not SEEN. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are SEEN were not made of things which do appear.
