There are many websites that deal with religious and legal issues involving gay men and women. Here are a few:
Mel White grew up with the church while struggling with his own homosexuality. His
autobiography titled Stranger at the Gate is an inspiring story. He also has excellent
websites (Mel White's JusticeNet and Soulforce) that discuss his efforts to help
"organized" religions see beyond their "blinders" about gay men and women.
The UFMCC (Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches) is a
fellowship of Christians with a special outreach to the G/L/B/T community.
The Human Rights Campaign is very active in pursuing equal rights for the
G/L/B/T community within the United States political system.
Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund is also instrumental in securing equal
rights for the gay community. |
