Oh dearest raven,
Black as night.
Harbinger of all things
Dark and light.

You stand atop the fence, so worn
Forewarn me! Forewarn!
Does Death Approach?
Is beauty born?

Oh raven for you
My heart is torn.
You bring not bad nor would
But many think you could.
Youre just another soul, misunderstood?

Oh dearest human
That sits alone.
I do bring death
But not your own.
This gift is sweet
For me alone.

I bring, as harbingers do
Something terrible, but not for you.
I bring this gift for your living new.

The child that sleeps
Within those walls
Will soon be weeping
Within heavens halls.

Oh dearest human
That sits alone.
I do bring death
But not your own..
