My first reason that homework should be removed from Albany Middle School is that some homework isn't fundamental and pointless doing. But studying for tests and exams is. As Dorothy Susking states “ The bottom line: No homework except for those occasions when it's truly necessary”. Even though that The Nation PTA and the National Education Association both endorse the 10 minute rule, whis is a rule where teachers have to give 10 minutes of homework in 1st grade 20 minutes in second and so on. My second reason that homework should not be given at Albany Middle School is that homework doesn't impact achievement. International researchers Mike Horsley and Richard Walker conclude that homework does not significantly impact achievement and could possibly be detrimental. But Julie Stagis states “ The group also found that homework is most effective when it has a clear purpose and can easily be tied to learning goals. But I believe that only works in a small percentage of people. My third and final reason for no homework at Albany Middle School is, that homework causes students anxiety, and stress on kids. Debra Viadero states, “While many students feel they have enough time to finish their homework, a large majority report that is still causes them anxiety. Nearly 90 percent of students of students reported feeling stressed about doing homework, and one third has felt that way frequently.” Although the Asbury Park Press states “ A rationale for homework lies in the argument for the development of good lifelong habits.” That doesn’t make up for all the stress.
In a perfect world there would be no school, kids would gain intelligence while growing. Video games would be free. No world hunger. No Trump. There would not be as much gravity, so you could jump super high, and bounce off walls. There would be no guns and Hitler wasn't real. You would not get a lot of sicknesses when you become old. You wouldn't able to get drunk. People can't have mental disabilities
My grandma in England is not very well and really wanted me to visit her. My mom wanted to take me but my dad hasn’t been to England in 19 years and my mom goes a every year. We decided that my dad and I would go. I had to take a week off school do home study so that I could visit my grandma. The weekend before I left I was excited to go but also worried that my grandma might have to go to the hospital while I was visiting as that had happened to my mom the last time she went. Packing was easy, I had most of the things I needed already. We had to go to the store for a blankets, socks, gloves and shoes. The day before I left I had to do laundry so I would pack in the morning. I had to get to the airport by 3:00pm the flight was delayed by 2 hours.
