| It was a dark and scary night Everybody gathered in the Birkdale School of Arts Hall. The RAPS DIVING CLUB organized a Trivia Night with a Halloween theme to raise funds to send divers to Hobart (Tasmania), Melbourne (Victoria) and a competition sightseeing tour to New Zealand. This function was supported by eighty people dressed in the scary, weird and wonderful outfits, whos intention was to eat, drink and be merry. Along with the ten rounds of questions there were games such as Pass the Orange, Heads and Tails and the Coin Flick. Each table participated with good humor and knowledge. Most contestants won prizes for various things throughout the night that were offered by numerous businesses in the Redlands. The night was not only successful in raising money but it was also an occasion for Divers and their familys to meet one another in a fun filled atmosphere. The best dressed prize winner: Gene Kimlin. Winning Trivia Question table: Christine Kimlins table. Lucky Door prize was won by Graham Moore. The R.A.P.S Committee would like to thank the members who kindly provided supper for everyone and those who worked tirelessly throughout the night to make it such a success. |
