All of the small wishes that from childhood I'd reared -literally come true in 1996 when I joined M.I.T.The petty wishes from just studying in an Engiineering college to living in a hostel,going College in not any of the customized uniform that folks have to use inevitably in their school days,the ruthless living,Partying-the wishes wre just endless.In Hindu I was more like a school goer but certainly not in M.I.T.In Hindu College, there was still a pressure of preparing for Engg. which I got suddenly relieved off--The Momment I set my foot in M.I.T.And,One thing I could never forget mentioning is that behind all this happiness,there was incalculable manipulation of my God father,my God,"Lord Shiva".I have full convication that only he had bestowed upon me all that pleasant things,that I'd cried for since my children days.
The time from august 1996 to june 2001 is gotta super-significant for me,
in the sense that;for one,here only all the cherished dream of my parents,particularly
my didi,of seeing me pursuing a mainstream Engg. Course had seen itself
flourishing and come true;and for second,this was the place where my metamorphism
from adolescent to an grown-up adult had taken place.M.I.T in itself is
also no less significant.In 1954,the founding stone was laid down my none
other than our own beloved Pt.jawahar Lal nehru,on the same auspicious
day as I.I.T-Kharagpur was inaugurated by him.So little wonder that the
main Building you are seeing on the top of this resembles ditto to the
old building of I.I.T-Kgp.It appears as if both have been carved by the
same architect.

Living in three different hostel (Jublee,Hostel No-2 & Hostel No-4)and
witnessing an equal number of principle come and go,those five year spent
in M.I.T are really a great reminder of a jovial & happier days-that
my soul has throughly enjoyed as an elysian journey.It was in this holy
land of M.I.T that I imbibed whatsoever ideas I,ve on hot,fervent &
controversial issues ranging from reservation,caste politics to no less
important and interesting topic of Gandhiji & his works in indian freedom
struggle, from that unfailing source of wisdom that have had its permanent
stay in M.I.T.If you know any guy next to you being passed of M.I.T you
can assume safely of him having a good amount of prowess on topics like
mentioned above and others as well. |
