| The only child of John and Millie Warren, Josh was born in Savannah, Georgia. He started his collegiate carreer by going to Savannah State University, but surprised his friends and family when he decided, at the beginning of his Junior Year, to attend a University in a town they had never even heard of - Middle Tennessee State University, in Murfreesboro, Tn. On the first day he arrived at his new college he was almost killed by his roommate - who turned into a demon and tried to eat him! He fought it off with the help of fellow student Astrid Jones and local police woman Stephanie Branch. Then the bug came. A giant, spinal fluid-sucking bug! None of his new found college friends wondered too much when Josh was able to put a name with the creature in short order - Vermascas |

| The creature was attacking people around campus and it was up to Astrid, Stephanie, and him, along with another student, Leroy, and government agent Saul Goode to end the threat. Tracking it to it's lair in the swamps outside of town, Josh and company discovered that it had young. During the destruction of the Vermuscas and her nest, Josh was grabbed and taken for a flight. Fortunantly, he was able to injure the creature and escape before it was able to extract his spinal fluid. After a short period of working together - at school and on patrol - Josh and Astrid started seeing each romantically and their relationship seemed to be going quite well, until Thanksgiving when Astrid's visiting mother mentioned in passing that Astrid was half demon! Josh didn't handle it very well. After an argument Josh stormed off and later blew off some steam by fighting and killing several Vamps by himself, without being hurt at all. Later that night, Astrid was disturbed by someone knocking on her door. Answering it, she discovered Josh lying in the hallway, covered in blood. Taking him to the hospital, Astrid stuck by him through a police interogation - it was discovered that someone was killed in the library moments before Josh arrived at Astrid's dorm - right next door. After Josh was released, Astrid made it quite clear that she was very angry and wanted nothing to do with Josh. Over the next few months Josh's connection with the rest of the gang became somewhat tenious. Steph helped him out during the arraignment, and he has had some contact with Saul and Leroy, but for the most part he seems very distracted, spending most of his time alone. Around Christmas it was discovered that Josh had been seeing a demonic psychiatrist. He seems to be trying to get over what apparently is a prejudice against demons - brought on by his original discovery of Demonic worlds and subsequent feelings and evidence that something is invading his dreams and, possibly, able to control him at times. On Valentine's Day Josh was able to start making some amends toward his relationship with Astrid. There is still some sour feelings, but hopefully he will be able to mend the gap. A couple of months later, Josh disappeared. Evidence suggested that he had been taken to a different dimension. When the crew utilized the Doorway to find him, they dicovered that his Nemesis was a demoness named Sheeva, the mate to the demon Josh encountered in the alternate dimension in Savanah. She was the being tracking him. She had finally located and captured him and was planning on using him in a spell to reincarnate her mate at the rise of the full moon. The Boro Heroes joined forces with a friendly race from that dimension to fight Sheeva and her henchdemons and rescue Josh. The battle was great but it seemed that the heroes would not be in time. Right at the last minute, as the full moon rose high in the sky, it was revealed that Josh was a werewolf! In his lycanthrope form he was able to easily escape his bonds. He attempted to attack Sheeva, but she was able to teleport him back to Earth in mid leap. She explained to the rest of the group that she wasn't interested in revenge, she had simply wanted to use Josh in the spell. But it required a human host and as Josh was no longer considered human, he just wouldn't do. So, upon the arrival of the rest of the team back to the Boro, it would seem that perhaps Josh can start getting his life (and relationships) back on track. |
