| Astrid Emmanuelle Octavia Jones was born 21 years ago to a former-hippie, fortune-telling mother, Abby, and a comedic, laid-back father, John. Astrid, an only child, has always been close to her parents, but shared a particularly close relationship with her father. He died when she was fifteen, and the blow still stings sometimes, even six years later. After attending Cleveland State University for 2 years, Astrid began her junior year as a history major at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN. Upon meeting her less-than-desirable roommates, she was thrown almost immediately into the Boros supernatural scene when she saw a student about to get attacked by his roommate-turned-monster. She was able to warn him in time for him to avoid the attack and fight the creature off. While the event did upset her, it seemed more of an annoyance than a what-the-Hell-was-that thing upset that would be expected from you average college co-ed. |

| Astrid learned from the student, Josh, who obviously knew more about the strange happenings than he let on, that Middle Tennessee was supposedly some sort of breeding ground for unusual events and creatures. After the things she witnessed her first night in town a demon in roommates clothing and a gunfight over some robotic legs Astrid had no doubts he was right. However, she still thinks theres more to Josh than meets the eye. That makes two of them. When giant spinal-fluid-drinking bugs plagued the town only days later, Astrid was the first to hear of their existence, literally. She heard their distinct buzzingfrom halfway across campus. She assisted her new associates, Josh, Stephanie, Leroy and Saul, in destroying the creatures, but not before sustaining serious injuries at the claws of the bug. Strangely enough, her hospital-worthy wounds seemed practically non-existent by the time they returned to campus. Still, Astrid was having serious doubts about her choice to move to Murfreesboro. Of all the small towns in the US, she had to pick this one. But soon her mind was clouded with other, heavier thoughts: All thanks to a visit from her Uncle Whistler. Over the next few months it became increasingly obvious that Middle Tennessee was a hotbed of supernatural activity. Astrid has befriended and works with the group to fight the Evil found in this small college town and it's surrounding environs. Astrid has become especially close to Josh. A strong mutual attraction is obvious. On Thanksgiving it was discovered that Astrid is actually half demon - a fact that her visiting mother wasn't aware that she had been keeping from her friends. While most of the group didn't really care as long as she was a "good demon". Josh however was overwhelmed and stormed out. Only recently have the two of them started coming to an understanding - after she discovered that Josh also was keeping a secret. He is a werewolf. Near the end of the semester, a mysterios group arrived and attempted to awaken the Illigoir by using Nick's body as a vessel for the demon's spirit to reshape into a full fedged demon. Utilizing a large group of vampires and wendigo, the group was able to attack Steph and Nick and hold her off long enough to take Nick. To make matter's worse, Josh had transformed into a werewolf after being attacked by a shock troop of vamps. Angered, the werewolf retraced their steps which lead him to the activated portal. Meanwhile, the rest of the gang armed themselves for battle and after discovering that the portal in the quad at MTSU was open and linked to the Old Stone Fort, the gang rushed to the Fort and discovered a veritable army off vamps and wendigo protecting several mages that were attempting to summon the creature into the sacrificial Nick. Steph immediatly attacked, trying to reach Nick. Leroy also wadded into the thick of the battle. Astrid took a moment to survey the scene and noticed that Josh the werewolf was cutting a swath through the vamps and Sam was there attempting to protect Jim, who seemed to be casting a spell of his own. With Saul attempting to snipe as many of the mages as he could, Astrid took her crossbow and headed to help Jim. The battle was hard fought but it seemed that the bad guys were going to be able to hold the heroes off long enough to complete their spell. At this point Astrid realized that Jim was attempting to bring the spirit of the Illigoir into his own body, hoping that he was inhum,an enough to contain the creature. A last ditch plan that failed when the wendigo got passed Sam and struck a fatal blow to Jim. In a moment of clarity Astrid knew what she had to do. She stepped into Jim's magic circle and drew the spirit into her own half demon body. Unable to alter the demonic form the creature - and Astrid died! With the demon dead, the few remaining vamps and wendigo fled. The mages were all killed. The werewolf approached the fallen Astrid and realizing on some level that she was his mate, let out a moarnful howl and ran off into the woods. |
