When I'm in the
mood for fun... more often than not, the words you'll hear from my
mouth are...
"Rack em up!"
 That's
right... I enjoy pool... I'm not the best stick in the pool room...
but I'm no pushover either... I truly enjoy being a student of the
game, and relish a good thrashing as much as I do a good victory...
The game is a fun one, and one I do enjoy sharing with people, no
matter their skill level.
For other
participation sports... I enjoy and am an accomplished bowler... I'm
not at all unaccustomed to throwing 200s.... at the same time, I
certainly hold no contempt for those that just can't seem to get that
score up... Bowling's a difficult sport to master... the key to it,
or any other sport, is to enjoy it... so if you bowl, and you have
fun... far as I'm concerned, I'd be glad to roll a few games with you
any day.;-)
I also like to
roller blade... preferably on a rink... most of the sidewalks around
here, if you try rollerblading on em, the only thing you'll wind up
doing is wearing casts and paying obscene doctor bills...
I've been known to
run occasionally, and if pressed, I can certainly set a decent
jogging pace and hold it for a few miles... Doctors still haven't
figured out how a smoker can run and not lose his breath... but
that's what I do.;-)
You're looking at
one of my hobbies... building web pages... I also enjoy sketching,
and doing computer graphics. Additionally, on the computer, I enjoy
the Flight Simulator 2002, and I tend to think I'm a pretty fair sim-pilot.
For those of you
that have never gone into a restaurant or coffee shop, and just sat
down for a couple of hours, trading lies with friends... I have to
tell you... you're missing something... I have friends that I enjoy
doing this with, from time to time, and we have a ball...
Now throw in
movies, music, the rare trip to the casinos over in Indiana, and you
begin to get a pretty fair look at what I do for play time.
For intellectual
stimulation... I enjoy researching and studying tornadoes... chasing,
while not something I do very often, is something I do enjoy... as
long as I know the roads in the area and as long as I keep a pretty
respectable distance from the storm.
I also like
watching A&E, and the Discovery and History channels... and yes
folks, true to my old fogie nature... I'm definitely a devotee of TV
Land programming.
Videos? I'll be
honest... my collection's pretty diverse... I have everything from Cynthia
Rothrock martial arts movies, to the entire Crocodile Dundee
movie collection. I enjoy comedy and drama, as well as my fair share
of action.
Music... as long
as it's not rap music, chances are, I'll probably at least be able to
tolerate it, if not enjoy it completely. Now I do NOT accuse Brittany
Spears of being much of an artist... to be honest... I've got no use
for her contributions to the music industry... the same can be said
for ole Snoop Dogg, and some of the other non-singing types out there
with big contracts and lousy expressive talent.
Fave performers,
would be Roxette, Survivor, Elton John, Billy Joel, Pat Bentar, and
honestly, MANY of the best performers of the 1980s...
