| Our ideal is a German Shepherd dog that comes in the house & is of a calmer nature, one, which �thinks,� is easy to train and has all the attributes that made the original German Shepherd great. All of our dogs have great herding drive & so far a natural desire to search. The disposition, working and social traits become genetic after a few generations of breeding. We emphasize sound, stable dogs. The rest is up to the new owner to develop a puppy that is trained, socialized and develops a sound mind. At this time we have two participating in�Carda� as Search & Rescue dogs... |
| Our foundation male for my current lines was a plush-coated, big black and red West German Shepherd; �Rangemaster�s Strong Hart.� To me he epitomizes the ideal German Shepherd dog for my lifestyle. He had a sound temperament and was a joy to live with. He would �baby sit� small children and enthusiastically greet my friends. In fact it was easy to forget that when the occasion arose he would raise his hackles to defend his property or me. His herding instinct has been passed to all his puppies. It was his job to accompany all the goats to the stand and back again. He took it upon himself to be my guide dog when we were out at night milking. If it was pitch dark he would place himself beside me as a guide up the rocky path to the house. My Bitches are Strong Hart daughters and granddaughters. |
