St. Louis Rams starting quarterback Trent Green is taken off the field on a cart after being injured in the second quarter of a preseason game against the San Diego Chargers on Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999, at the Trans World Dome in St. Louis. Green is out for an undetermined length of time with an injured left knee. (AP Photo/Harold Jenkins)

The Rams beat San Diego 24-21 Saturday night in a fashion that no Ram fan would wish on their worst enemy(even the Niners).  Trent Green is lost for the season with torn ligaments and cartilage damage in his left knee after a "late hit" by Chargers safety Rodney Harrison.  Kurt Warner is the heir apparent..... good luck Kurt!!  The hopes of all Rams fans world wide along with Coach Dick Vermeil's job are now officially placed on your shoulders.......can you handle the pressure??
