I hated what happened to Green.  It was the most depressing day of all of last year.  I despise Rodney Harrison.

For three fourths of the season I was convinced Green should regain his starting job upon his return because I hate the thought of losing a player losing his job due to injury, especially if he is able to function at the same level upon returning.  Nevertheless, what Warner accomplished completely throws that theory out the window.

Martz would be crazy  to bench Warner.  It wouldn't be fair  to Warner.  It wouldn't be fair to Green.  It wouldn't be fair to the team.  It wouldn't be fair to the fans. It would cause a firestorm of controversy that Martz certainly does not need his first year as head coach.  As far as I'm concerned, the job is, and should be, Warner's to lose.

That said, there is reason to show a certain amount of loyalty to Green.  I do believe that Martz and Green have a very good relationship and I believe Martz will take good care of him.  I'm sure he will give Green every opportunity to prove himself fully recovered to land a starting job somewhere in the NFL.

My impression is that Green will be around for this year, but that could change.

Sure is a nice dilemma to have.  What to do with a quality starting quarterback that isn't likely to replace your Super Bowl winning MVP quarterback in the near future.

Hope we run into this kind of problem for years to come.
