With the playoffs coming, the value of getting out of Philly without injuries cannot be overstated.

Look at the awful predicament some other teams are in. In the final week of the season the Colts lost Cornelius Bennett, a defensive leader, when he probably shouldn't have even played. Ironically, the Colts didn't even try to win the game---they pulled Manning just as we pulled Kurt. Yet in a game they didn't even care about, they lost a key leader. Stupid.

The Bucs lost Gruber, although they *had* to win the game, so that's understandable. Had they not needed the game, they might well have rested him.

Did they Jags really need to play their stars the entire game to defeat the Bengals? Now they've lost Boselli for the playoffs.

Imagine the Rams without Faulk, or Warner, or Bruce, or Pace, or Carter,  or some other guys. That would have been a killer---not only losing the player, but also because of the psychological damage that would have resulted.

By the way, anybody else see how Boselli's injury happened? I saw it, and if I were a Jags' fan, I'd be REALLY concerned. Because he tore his ACL without even being touched and without even trying to cut. It appeared to happen for no reason at all, on a grass field, no less.

He has had knee problems before, and when you get injuries as serious as his without being touched, that is a bad sign. He could be fighting knee injuries until his career ends, which may be sooner than many think.
