As it turns out, the Gruttadauria package was less than Tucker, but obviously the Rams like Tucker's upside even more. I have checked with my people inside the Rams and what I suspected was true: It's virtually a certainty the Rams will match Tucker. They probably would have matched Gruttadauria if Tucker hadn't received the offer he did. It all comes down to tying up only so much money in the line.

But don't assume Tucker will be the right tackle, with Nutten moving to center and Spikes at left guard. It might happen that way, but it also could have Tucker at center, Nutten remaining at guard and Frohbieter at right tackle. Frohbeiter was the No. 1 rated right tackle coming out of college until hurting hi shoulder. He is now totally rehabbed and will be set to go in the off-season program to prepare for football. Is it a given he will do it? Of course not. But Fabini started as a rookie with the Jets, Steve McKinney with the Colts, etc. It's not out of the question.
