On Tucker's offer....IMO this will be a real test of what the Rams think about Tucker. They have been talking about him as a future all Pro and by those standards, this offer is cheap. My guess is they will hate it but end up signing him because he is so versatile.

I watched Tucker play against the Giants where he came in for Pace at 7:49 of the second period and finished the game.

I can't get over how much he improved from last year when he was always lunging and off  balance. Example---in one of the Saints games in 98, Miller was injured and Tucker had to block Glover and had just a terrible time. They had to replace him with Eathan Brooks if I remember correctly. Only played about a 1/4.

In thr Giants game, he played mostly against Cedric Jones, a speed rusher, and completely shut him out. He showed great strength and good speed; his ability to change direction was not tested.

The Rams did little running but there was an interesting sequence in the last quarter when they put Holcombe at RB, Hodgins at FB and Spikes at RG. On one play Tucker drove Hamilton about two yards staight back and then extended his arms and put him on his back. Hamilton is not a great player but he is powerful and that play was very impressive.

I feel Tucker can play tackle at least as well as Miller and would be the best guard on the team.

The Rams must have a good idea of his abilities since they have seen him in practice against Wistrom and Carter and earlier against Farr and Agnew.

I haven't seen him play center and most of the good centers are much smaller than him. He does have good one way speed but whether he can make those quick moves where the center gets a piece of the tackle and then moves over to get the blitzing LB is a question mark. Again the Rams did have him in practice so they should know.
