1. SOME RAMS ROSTER THOUGHTS---

* McCollum should stay in the lineup in my opinion.

* Clemons looked great in the Browns game, especially on one blitz where he was picked up by two Browns (at least one lineman) and continued to push them back. He looked like a mini-Kevin Carter on that play.

* Justin Watson has everyone feeling better about the Greg Hill deal.

* Hodgins. It would appear that Derrick Harris is a distant memory.  A lot of people blamed the Rams decision to drop Harris and keep Hodgins on Vermeil's friendship with John Ralston, but apparently this 270 lb. blocking sled has some ability after all. Yet another example of DV making tough decision regardless of the opinions of the print media, fans,  & even players (ie. Conwell's comment that the Harris waiving was "bogus").

* Conwell. The injury is as on again, off again & I for one am taking a conservative approach and will believe it when I see it. I do believe a healthy Conwell will further improve this team,  as will Leonard Little's return in two weeks.

* Little. I imagine he will be inactive for several games since he couldn't practice with the team during  the suspension, but it won't take long before he is out there creating havoc for the remainder of the year.

2. PRELMINARY THOUGHTS ON THE TITANS GAME---

I see the defensive gameplan being a lot like the Bengals game.

* Stop big RB Eddie George (Corey Dillon) by keeing Fletcher on him.

* Give up slants & play some  soft coverages & keep Kevin  Dyson (Darnay Scott) from blowing by you on his 2nd move or keep Yancey Thigpen (Carl Pickens) from getting some sideline touches.

After that they would have to beat us with individual players.  The other problems are:

* Steve McNair & Neil  O'Donell both offer more than the Jeff Blake-Akili Smith did.

* Frank Wycheck is one of best TE/H-backs in the league.

* The Titans have learned how to use George out of the backfield on pass routes wide (screen, quick hitters), something Dillon couldn't do.

* Lorenzo Neal is a guy to keep a eye on.

* Also,  Jevon Kearse is an absolute freak of nature with the physical tools he brings to the table. But it was reported during the last game that he was really underweight & has dropped to 245 lbs.. They are trying to beef him up because he is playing LDE, which is is more of a power position.  I believe they should switch him with Ford myself as he looks alot like a Jason Taylor + some.

More on all of this plus a detailed analysis of the matchup later in the week.
