The Ravens will not have the boring offense they had last year. Brian Billick's offense in Minnisota scored the most points ever last year. Granted we don't have all the weapons the Vikings did, but you have to give Billick credit on knowing how to score points. If you come into Sundays game with that many holes [McCleon, Agnew, Farr, Green, maybe Carter],  Billick will game plan a way to burn the Rams often.

Mitchell has been  running the offense very well. [Against the Giants in the final preseason game] he only played one quarter as did all the starters. He moved the team right down the  field and scored.

The offense looked good during both of the last two [preseason] games. In fact against the Giants they only went 3 and out once during the entire game. Billick believes in being explosive and has shown we can go deep already. Billick knows how to go for six that is for sure.

I don't think there will be alot of settling for the field goal like we did last year. It looks like Billicks redzone is anything inside the 40. The Giants have a tough defense against the run and the the running game didn't look that great but that had a lot to do with the Giant run defense. The passing game moved the ball.

[Still, it is unfair] to say the Ravens have no running game. In 1998 Faulk started 15 games, rushed for 1319yds, avg 4.1 per carry. In 1998 Holmes started 13 games, rushed for 1008, avg 4.3 per carry. Pretty comparable I'd say.

[Tha Ravens] have more than one good receiver in Lewis. Brandon Stokely,  our fourth round selection, is playing excellent and catching everything thrown his way. Justin Armour has really stepped up since a poor performance against Philly.

The offense over all looked good. With  our defense that is so important. Just give them rest and they can get the job done.

McCallister is not the starter because Deron Jenkins in his third year has stepped up and flat out beat him for the job. McCrary's holdout was only two days. He has been in camp, but hasn't played to this point due to off season knee surjury. He's been healthy but the coaching staff didn't want to risk injury in the preseason.

Peter Boulware on the other hand reaggravated his shoulder against the Giants and is questionable for the opener. This was Boulware's first game and Cornell Brown has been filling in in his absense. Boulware's shoulder is an injury that will bother him until it is surgically repaired. He may make it thru the year but he'll probably miss games here and there. Once he decides to have surgury he's done for the year. But Brown has performed very well and if Boulware does play Brown may compete with Jamie Sharper for his starting spot. We also have McCloud and Jackson who would start for a lot of teams. LB is a deep position for us.

The D-line is in good shape with Burnett and McCrary on the ends, and Siragusa and Webster up the middle. While going from James Jones to Larry Webster  is a slight down grade,  the D-line and Linebacking corp as a whole has improved with depth. The line is really eight deep and they will rotate all game. The backups are very capable and the hope is to were down the opposing offensive line late in games. Our line is deep  with Kieth Washington(DE),Fernando Smith(DE), Lional Dalton(DT), Martin Chase(DT). All capable of starting and they will rotate all game to stay fresh.  Third year Cornell Brown has stepped up along with Tyrus McCloud to make us deep at LB.

>From what I've seen in preseason our biggest weakness is screen passes and short to medium stuff over the middle.
