Mrs. Shaky and I arrived at the Vet at approximately 10:20 AM with me wearing my Rams gear. The tailgating parties were already going strong.

The first thing I heard was "bet you didn't wear that shirt here last year." I just blew it off, no reason to get into an altercation this early.

We walked over to the Holiday Inn where Jaworski owns the bar and restaurant. As I was waiting for Mrs. Shaky to come out of the restroom I turned around and there was Bill Bergey walking towards me. I recognized him immediately. To confirm this someone was walking up to him and asking if he was in fact Bil Bergey. He stopped and chatted for a little while then he started talking to Harold Carmichael. I can't confirm that it was HC but he was about 6'7" and lanky and it sure looked like him to me.

We started towards the Will Call Window where we had planned to meet up with some of you HERD members. Since we were early we grabbed our tickets from WIll Call, turned around and there was someone asking, "Are you from the Internet?"

I answered, "Yeah I am the ROOKIE, LOL!" No, no, no, I said, "Yeah, I'm Shaky."

He identified himself as VARAM. There was an instant connection, a fellow HERD member, live and in person. I've been so used to just  names, no faces, this was cool. We chatted for a short time and who came walking up asking us the same question, Nittany Ram and his brother. (Boy, these guys are cool.) NR's brother had a sideline field pass (Rams side). We started talking like we were online.

Time was going quick. I placed my HERD shirt over on the wall and we hung out in this HERD area for a short time. Who comes walking up next is one of our trusty admins, HappyNoodleBoy and his Eagle fan buddy. We huddled around the HERD shirt and Mrs. Shaky snapped a few pictures of us. Thanks, guys!

So now it was around Noon and we decided to head on in. Mrs. Shaky pointed out our seats (Sec. 267-not bad, good view), Rams side 10 yard line, she nabbed four of them, hung with them seats and waited till we got back. HNB and his Eagle fan buddy headed on to their seats. Nittany, VARAM and myself headed on down to get closer to the field. We talked to alot of Rams fans on our way down, they were everywhere. There was no security stopping us at all so we went to the corner of the endzone where the Rams were warming up. We hung out there for about 45 minutes, cheering the Rams and screaming their names. We were like little kids in the candy store.

It was almost game time so we headed back to the seats. VARAM, Nittany Ram, Mrs. Shaky and I all sat together for the first half while Nittany's brother stood on the sidelines, we watched in envy. Nittany's brother switched with him at the half so NR could be down on the sideline. NICE BROTHER!

Those Eagles sure do hit hard. The game played out almost like I thought. Marshall was able to get his yardage early (I heard the Eagle fans behind me talking about how great MF is). I'm glad he was able to get out quickly, like you all probably feel.

Warner wasn't sharp but if Ernie would have caught that pass, maybe the outcome would have been different. Again we had a lot of dropped balls. Turnovers too! How many did we actually have? So glad Warner did get out of there, when he got sacked, right in front of us, that hit sounded unbelievably loud. Glad he was also able to get the record, 41 touchdowns! CONGRATS!

Blah blah blah about the game, at least we came out of it without any injuries. The best part of the game was late in the game when Holcombe was running that long run down the sideline and he hurdled an Eagle player and Mrs. Shaky was jumping up and down screaming her head off. You had to see it, every Eagle fan turned their head to catch a glimpse of this. This is what I get when we're at the sports bar. She does lose control. LOL!

Like I said earlier, the Eagles were really hitting hard. We played alot of different players, got some people some work, and that's really what we wanted to do. Don't get me wrong, a WIN would have been great, but remember we are 13-3 and on our way to the PLAYOFFS. After the game we all walked outside, knowing we would be saying our good-byes, at least till we talked again on the NET.

But let me tell you about this one drunk Eagle fan (VARAM could add to this). The Eagles scored and I took a glance to my left along the aisle seats. There on the other side of the aisle is this drunken Eagle fan screaming or I think it was slurring vulgarities at me for no reason. Me being the hot head I am and knowing I'm not doing a darn thing to this jerk, I stand up and start shouting back, "We're 13-2! What are you?" I repeated that a couple of times because it didn't look like it was registering in. As I started to get more heated Mrs. Shaky pulled me by the arm to hold me in place and VARAM gave me the "DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THIS GUY" sign. Mrs. Shaky let me know this idiot had been just that the whole game. He was really talking some smack to all Ram fans.

There was one funny moment in the stands when an male Eagles fan stood up with home made tissue pom poms and began dancing along and screaming the words to one of the tunes the Eagle cheerleaders were doing. You had to be there because that was truly worth watching. It was hilarious. LOL!

It was great meeting those HERD members, thanks for a good time. Wished more of you could have made it, the game was a very interesting fun filled day. Oh BTW, did I mention it was somewhere around 65-70 degrees. I got a sunburn on January 2, 2000!
