Look at the speed and quickness this team is putting on the field.

Defense. Coady 4.5, Jenkins 4.6?, McCleon 4.45, Lyght 4.5, Little 4.5, Collins 4.7, Fletcher 4.5, MJones 4.5?, Wistrom 4.67, Farr 4.7?, Agnew 5.0?, Carter 4.7.

Offense. Bruce 4.45, Holt 4.45, Faulk 4.45, Holcombe 4.52, Conwell 4.5, Pace 5.1, Nuten 5.0?, Gruttaduria 5.0?, Timmerman 5.3?, Miller 5.5?, Warner 5.0?

I would not be surprised if this team was the fastest in the NFL, especially on D.

Little and Conwell return this week, which means even more speed on the team. Little was one of the best pass rushing OLBs in college, with increadible speed for his size. Conwell will help the run blocking, but he also has something Williams doesn't---and that is great speed.

Ernie Conwell. The news media has forgotten about him or has put him into the class of a run-blocking TE. Granted he is one of the best run-blocking TE in the game.  His run-blocking will blast open holes on the strongside,  allowing Faulk to turn the corner for positive yardage.

But I remember a game against the Saints when he blasted his way through 7 or so tacklers to rush 50 some yards into the endzone. He is more than a legit receiving threat---in his last healthy year he had 38 catches for 404 yrds on a TBanks team. Imagine what is going to happen on the Warner team. With his speed and disciplined routes, he could become the Novachek/Winslow of this offense.

No knock on RWilliams, but I think by the time the  playoffs roll around EC will be an other All-Pro caliber weapon for Warner. IMO EC will play as vital a role in this offense as Faulk, Bruce, and Pace.

Leonard Little. Fast Eddie and others who watched training camp were amazed by this man's speed, athletism,  and intensity. In college, he was All-American because of his ability to smack the QB. He brings the speed, size and moves of a Peter Boulware. In the only pre-season game I saw, he was everywhere, looking unstoppable---blitzing the QB, covering backs,  and stuffing the run.

I see the Rams working him into the nickel package as quickly as they can. (They will be somewhat tenative because of a rookie mistake he made versus Robert Smith last season.)

By the time the playoffs start, Little will help the pass rush. He will add the dimension of LB blitzes and stunts (or fear thereof). In in tandem with Carter, Farr, Wistrom and Agnew, Little will help the Rams develop a pass-rush on par with some of the great teams. This will greatly decrease the number of passes teams throw against the Rams, because the QB will constantly be squished or live in fear of being squished.
