Me, GRITS, Valley Ram and
shilo headed over to meet Kelley (KRAM) about 6:30 on Saturday night at the secret
location (Rams hotel)... I knew it was going to be a good night as soon as we walked in the door..there was DV signing autographs for a bunch of kids on his way out to dinner...Then we went to the bar in the hotel and met Kelley... Me and Valley were just kinda hangin out near the entrance of the bar to see if we would spot Rams player and such, just hoping to meet ANY Rams player, third string would have been cool enough, BUT... little did we know what a treat we were in for....I could go on and on, but I'd be here all night, so I'll just give you the short version of what we experienced... The first guy we met was Jack Snow, I saw him heading to the elevators and just said a simple "hey Jack", hoping to just get a smile and a "how ya doing", but he was so cool that he came right up to us and shook our hands and talked to us for about five minutes like he knew us...He is one cool dude... Then a few minutes later VR spotted Farr at the front desk, I quickly made my way over there and shook his hand and congradulated him on this year and told him to "go get'em tommorrow"..... Then I headed back to the bar to brag to GRITS and Kelley about who I just met and talked to....Then as I was going outside to have a smoke I saw London walking thru the lobby and met him..He is one happy dude and way cool too... Then on my way back to the bar I saw the one player I was dying to meet, Warner. He was hanging out in front of the resturant next to the bar talking with some people...I was thinking to myself how unreal this night has been as I walked over to meet him, it was the ultimate Rams fans dream to actually talk to and meet the players that I was meeting...I went up to him and said "how ya doing, Kurt" as I shook his hand...I told him how proud he has made all of us Rams fans and congradulated him on his great success and told him that he is going to be the MVP.... He said "MVP huh?" with a big smile on his face and said "I'm just trying to take it one game at a time" I said "You already have it locked up" and jokingly said "I want five more from you tommorrow" with a big smile on my face.. He just laughed and said "five?" I said "Yeah, like you did in the first game against the Niners" I was surprised how down to earth and cool he was to be taking his time and joking around with us..... There is more, but this is the short version.... After that, me and VR were pretty much floating on cloud nine, but the night wasn't even over yet... I also met Carter and Conwell and talked to them also.... Like I said, I could go on and on, but would be here all night typing..... Let me just say that every player I met was WAY COOL and totally personal....No wonder they are finnally on top...They DESERVE IT!!! PS. I have to thank a few people...First I have to thank Valley Ram for driving me up there in his "party van" and not getting mad that I smoked and watched college football the whole way up, while he had to drive ;-).. second I have to thank Kelley (KRAM) for hooking me up with tickets and insider info on where to meet the Rams players...And GRITS buddy, Shilo, for driving me home safely, while I slept..zzzzzzzz THANKS TO ALL..... |
