The crowd: Best I have
seen all season long (I was NOT at the 4 and 9er's...er 4 and 10er's game ...only gripes are: * Crowd does not cheer when the visitors are punting or FG kicking * Crowd does not cheer when the visiting O is in the huddle...just when they approach the line. * Smash needs to be strung up and hung from the walls of the TWD...he plain out sucks at introducing the players... * My wife graded papers (she is a teacher)during halftime and did not stop after the game resumed...(I apologize for this transgression! She will NOT be bringing papers to the Bears game! :-)) Home Field Advantage might just mean more here than it might have in the past...the crowd responded to the criticism and calls for greater participation AND they had their Wine and Brie stuffed butts planted in their seats for the awful Smash introductions! BTW, did I mention that Smash is horrible at the introductions? NOTE: I have nothing against the guy, his morning show isn't bad, though Stern is better on his worst days, but he IS better than KFNS, your source for Golf, Blues and Cardinals news...oh and a bit about the Rams here and their!) Enough ranting... Well maybe not enough! EJECTING PACE WAS RIDICULOUS!!! The Giants and the Rams were mixing it up after every play...they should have cracked down earlier and hit both teams to settle them down. But ejecting Pace was just plain wrong... not that it mattered, Tucker to a fine job in replacing him. Though I think the TE was kept in to help out, but still, Our O was not crippled by it. Did anyone see what that Browns guy did to the Ref? WAY WRONG!!! I say he gets suspended by the Browns, fined by the NFL and probably suspended as well. Back to the Rams... Offense: Appeared to be off kilter or out of sync...The receivers, Hakim and Holt need to work on reducing their dropsies...Holt AFTER the catch as well...88? At least he CATCHES the ball!!! Faulk is my vote for MVP...Player of the Year should DEFINATELY go to Warner...Manning can just fly his hoosier butt to St. Louis and...well you get the picture. Defense: Are these guys studs or what? THEY out scored the Giants!! Bly and Lyght were guilty of pretty obvious Pass Interference, Lyghts negated an interception that occured as a result of the interference. Special Teams: Wilkins will be fine. Horan is adequate, Horne is DA MAN. Hakim scares me as much as he scares the punting team, but he had an okay day. Painted on the wall of the press box is: 1999 NFC Western Division Champions Not the prettiest of wins, but a balanced one, none the less, and maybe that is more important than 4 or 5 offensive TDs. |
