*I don't think a loss at this point is all that important. *

Zooey:  I don't know what to do with this sentence. So no points here.

*But I will try to guess why they would lose if they should lose. *

Zooey: Again, the notion of a loss today is simply  absurd. The flamer is simply making stuff up here  to get a  rise out of us.

*Miller is kind of unproven. *

Zooey:  Ouch. Somewhat faint damnation, don't you think?

*They have not gelled and cannot be expected to have gelled. Not in one offseason. That is way too much to ask. *

Zooey:  We are talking about professionals here. Months and           months of practice. Broadway shows get less practice. If Jell-o can gel in a few hours, why not the Rams line in a few  months? Huh? Huh?

*From the line to Warner. Warner still makes  mistakes and will continue to make mistakes. He will for several games. *

Zooey: Yeah, Steve Young makes mistakes too. And even the             great and venerable Chris Chandler has been known  to err in his life. It happens. The scoreboard is what  we're looking at fellas. Not some holy grail pursuit of perfection.

*Atlanta is a tightly coached, veteran defense. Mistakes against the Falcons will KILL the Rams. Unlike the Ravens game. But the Rams WILL make mistakes. It is inevitable. *

Zooey: This is really too easy. Tightly coached? To say the least! So tightly coached it's likely that someone on the Falcons sideline will pop a juglar today. Let's see: Star WR gone. Star  RB holds out. Ugly things are said. Ugly loss to major rival in week one. Star RB pops a knee in week two loss on  Monday night. Coach cracks star RB publically.  Yeah, team morale is probably at a high point on this short work week. Bruce tags a 6-spot on the Falcons early and they'll bounce right back, I bet.  Probably play error-free  football, unlike the Rams.  (snicker, snicker).

*Asking an offense with 8 new players including a relatively green QB to gel by week 3 is asking the impossible. *

Zooey: Hey, can you guys gel by this week? Thanks. (See, that wasn't so impossible, was it?)

*Name another pro team that gelled by week three after  changing the starting line-up so drastically. *

Zooey:  University of Tennessee.

*I think a loss is probably likely, given all that. *

Zooey:  ROTFLMAO! So, no points for content. A little bit of credit for a passing semblance of reasonableness, but on the whole, thumbs down. 1 1/2 stars.

You should know that there are a lot of excellent posters on this board who know a great deal about football. You won't find them easy to rattle. Try the Niner board, my friend.
