WE LOST THE ONLY WAY WE CAN.   "If we play Rams football.....we win." I stick by that statement,  which I've repeated more than a few times the last few weeks.

It goes without  saying,  then, that we did not play "Rams  football" against the Titans. At least not in the 1st half. But what is so encouraging about Sunday's game was how close this team came to winning the game, even with all the penalties and turnovers.

It has  been a while since a loss by the Rams in such a big game didn't dissapoint me. If ever there was such a thing as "a moral victory" (I hate that term, btw),  this was it---and for whatever reason....this game did more to validate my feelings about the strength of this team than any other this year. On the road.....turnovers...penalties galore....dropped passes....and yet....we were still in a position to win the game.

The attitude is now in place.....it has been forged in steel......"we play our game....we win." That's the bottom line. This team is finally in a position to control its destiny....the players now know it... the coaches know it....the fans know it.

The rams will win every game in which they're not their own worst enemy.  Sunday proved this. Wow! Is that cool or what? The RAMSWORLD site says it all...."Rams beat Rams 24-21."

It's sure nice to be on top again. Here's to a win on Sunday! If the Lions think this team is going to play as poorly as they did in the first half of last week's game....they got another think coming.

We play "our game".......they lose......period.

DETROIT.  I have seen the Lions play.  I saw most of the Seahawk game and some of the Green Bay and Tampa games. From what I have seen, the Lions have a nice looking defense. Their front 4 may not  be as active as the Titan's front 4, but their  2ndry is better than the Titan's and be even better Sunday because Westbrook will be back.

Batch is a big suprise to me. He has shown a lot of maturity this season. His decision making is much better than last year,  from what I've seen. Greg Hill is, well, a pretty talented runner (don't we know it), but I like our chances of containing him this week,  based on what we were able to do against George last Sunday.

Again, in regards to this game and every other  game after this one......we are going to win if  we play our game. If we don't beat ourselves. The Lions will have a real hard time scoring enough        points against our team...period. If we score early we'll take Hill out of the game and key on Batch.

PS. Doesn't Kurt Warner remind you of Joe Pendleton/Leo Farnsworth from "Heaven Can Wait"? The nice guy who comes outta no where to lead his team to the superbowl. Hey, who says life doesn't imitate art.-:). I wonder if Kurt plays the clarinet?
